EBE seeks on their behalf a favourable scientific, competitive and regulatory environment, with the main aim of accelerating patient access to the benefits delivered by biotechnology. EBE supports biopharmaceutical companies in Europe in their goal to research and develop ground-breaking, safe, efficacious and high-quality healthcare solutions for patients.
EBE is part of the European pharmaceutical federation, EFPIA, and also aims to facilitate and develop relationships between the emerging biopharmaceutical companies and the larger, pharmaceutical companies, as well as making sure that the smaller companies? voice is heard in pharmaceutical discussions.

Portuguese Bioindustries Association (APBio)
Oeiras, PortugalAPBio was created in 1998 by two biotechnology companies: BIOTECNOL and STAB. This national association is part of the EUROPEAN BIOINDUTRIES ASSOCIATION, to which belong 14 national associations in a total of 600 associated companies. EuropaBio establishes the connection between the members, gathering and distributing information, organizing seminars and conferences about subjects of interest and supporting many other initiatives related to Biotechnology (publics' opinion inquiries, promotion and sensitization to these new techniques). EUROPABIO has the same objective as APBio and other national associations but it's actions operate at an European level, using the strength of their associates to influence the legislative power in order to create a favorable atmosphere for the development of Biotechnology.
European Federation of Biotechnology
