Commercialising Life Science Innovation in the UK

Workshop will highlight a number of unanswered questions: Why are we seeing global Pharma decamp from the UK in terms of their research base, when accessing innovation is their life blood? Why is there a relative dearth of drug discovery and development companies being backed by private investors in the UK? If there was M&A in the tech transfer office sphere, would the UK be seen by Pharma and investors as a true and accessible supercluster? Learning from past performance, current Pharma and investor appetite trends and experienced technology transfer leaders on their current views, this seminar will seek to answer the above questions on how the UK can remain in the premier league of global biotech clusters, attracting and retaining investors, Pharma and biotech executive talent.
